Honda Accord 2024: My Personal Experience
I picked up my 2024
Honda Accord 260TURBO Premium Edition on August 1, 2024, and I've been enjoying it since. For anyone considering this car, here are my thoughts. After comparing prices across three cities, I decided to buy locally with a full payment, and the deal felt just right.
Previously, I drove an old Ford Mondeo, which was starting to feel outdated, especially regarding fuel efficiency and features. The power of the Accord surprised me; it handles overtaking effortlessly, making it a significant upgrade.
Exterior: I initially thought the 11th generation Accord was unattractive, but my opinion changed quickly after I bought it. I appreciate its elegant, retro design, which grows on you.
Interior: The Japanese design feels simple yet refined. I was pleasantly surprised by the soft-touch materials and minimal plastic. It’s functional and straightforward.
Features: The Premium Edition has all the essentials. Comfort features are well-executed, making the ride pleasant.
Space: At 181 cm tall, I find the driver’s seat spacious and the rear seat ample for passengers, enhancing overall comfort.
Driving Experience: The driving dynamics differ greatly from American cars. The CVT is incredibly smooth, providing a comfortable ride, though it may feel slightly less powerful during acceleration. For my usual routes—town and suburban roads—I haven't felt a lack of power.
Fuel Efficiency: After 1,600 km, I’m averaging 7-8 L/100 km. While it’s satisfactory for me, those seeking maximum fuel economy might consider electric options.
Final Thoughts: There were minor issues with noises from the passenger door and some interior trim, but the service team addressed them effectively. Overall, the Accord strikes a balance between practicality, comfort, and moderate performance. If you’re not after aggressive driving but value reliability and comfort, the Accord is a fantastic choice.
