1. Auto Parts that need programming
ECM engine control module
After replacement, programming is required according to the vehicle model, and the new ECM needs to write the original vehicle parameters and calibration program through software.
Electric drive control module
It belongs to the core control module of the power system and needs to be programmed to match the vehicle drive parameters and software logic.
Transmission control module (TCM)
The power control module (PCM) is associated with the automatic transmission system. After replacement, programming is required to ensure that the shift logic and engine are coordinated.
ABS system control module
Involving data interaction between the braking system and other modules, programming and calibration of braking force distribution parameters.
Multimedia system
After replacement, programming is required to match the vehicle bus protocol, function permissions and software version.
2. Auto Parts that do not require programming but need to be configured
Headlights/wipers
After replacement, sensor sensitivity or actuator travel (such as automatic headlight height, wiper speed) needs to be calibrated. Collision Warning/LiDAR
Need to recalibrate the sensor position and calibrate the detection angle to ensure system accuracy.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Need to rematch the sensor ID and reset the threshold parameters.
Supplementary Note
Difference between programming and configuration: Programming refers to rewriting the underlying logic or parameters of the control module through software; configuration is calibration or parameter adjustment for hardware functions.
Note: Modules involving bus communication (such as ECM, ABS) must ensure compatibility with other systems after programming; sensor components must be completed through diagnostic tools
