Cumulative sales ranking of the automotive market as of the 43rd week of 2024

As of the 43rd week of 2024, the total sales volume of the automotive market was 17.4 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. The sales ranking of car companies is as follows:
 

BYD sold 2.7068 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 42.7%;
 

Geely Automobile sold 1.3352 million units, a year-on-year increase of 28.4%;
 

Changan Automobile sold 959600 units, a year-on-year decrease of 9.3%;
 

SAIC Volkswagen sold 896600 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%;
 

Chery Automobile sold 847900 units, a year-on-year increase of 69.7%;
 

FAW Volkswagen sold 845200 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%;
 

SAIC GM Wuling sold 608200 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 22.1%;
 

Guangqi Toyota sold 605100 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 15.1%;
 

FAW Toyota sold 598200 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 2%;
 

Dongfeng Nissan sold 534100 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%;
 

Great Wall Motors sold 524200 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 8.9%;
 

Tesla sold 493200 vehicles in China, a year-on-year increase of 7%;
 

Huachen BMW sold 479200 units, a year-on-year decrease of 14.9%;
 

FAW Audi sold 460800 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%;
 

Beijing Benz sold 457700 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%;
 

SAIC General Motors sold 428700 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 37.7%;
 

Ideal Auto sold 389200 units, a year-on-year increase of 38.1%;
 

FAW sedan sales reached 385300 units, a year-on-year increase of 30.1%;
 

Guangqi Honda sold 351500 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 23.8%;
 

AITO sold 317700 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 569.7%;

 

Viewpoint: The sales of Japanese brands have significantly declined, making it difficult for BYD to reach 5 million, but there is no problem with exceeding 3 million. In 2021, the total number of new energy vehicles will be 3 million, and in 2024, BYD alone will exceed 3 million;

Gennerally, the whole Country sells around 30 million cars every year, including 2/3 new cars and 1/3 used cars. From 2024, the new energy vehicles accounts nearly half of the total new cars sales volume.  From the above data, it is quite obviously, the traditional gasoline auto makers' sale volume drops to some extent, especially the Japanese brands Toyota, Honda, Nissan and some Germany brands Benz, BMW, Audi.  While, the new energy makers surges a significantly, such as BYD, AITO, Lixiang(Ideal), Tesla etc.
